Goal #1: Catholic Identity/Faith Enhancement
As a Catholic School Council, we will encourage the participation in the relationship
between the students, the parents, the teachers and the church.
Strategies to support Goal #1:
a) Confirmation through religious gifts in order for the students to remember the special day they received the sacrament. As well, have council members involved in the religious ceremony and celebration social to show the support of the students in the receiving of the sacraments.
b) Celebration of Mary and any other religious opportunity to fulfill the mission of the Catholic School Council to support Catholic education.
c) Jesus Christ, we must support the needs of the people that are less fortunate than
us. The Council will support the charities that the Hamilton Wentworth Catholic District School Board is actively involved and supports. These include the Pilgrimage Walk and annual sponsorship of a Foster Child.
d) JEPAG (Joint Educational Parent Advisory Group) and OAPCE (Ontario Association of Parents in Catholic Education).

Encourage activities that promote community building within the school environment.

the school to a social after mass to allow this integration of community building.
